I’m John Carter, the Geezer.

I’m a very old professional writer on the homestretch, putting together a book about living your last days as richly as you can.  Most of the posts here will be from that source.  At the start there will be no charge.  We’ll see how it goes.  If this works out, I’m likely at some point to charge a small monthly fee.

One thing I hope you’ll carry away from this is acceptance of the geezer you are.  Yes, you have your infirmities and unpleasantries and losses but you are by damn still alive and there are windows still to be opened and beauty not far beneath the surface.  These posts will do some digging.  I hope you’ll see how some of your qualities have ripened with age and become more tasty.  I hope you’ll be able to laugh at yourself a bit more easily and to fit a bit more comfortably into your world.  I hope you’ll have a few adventures along the way.  I hope that out of this might develop a brotherhood of geezers that might have stuff to offer you.

We’re hitting the road.  Climb aboard.  Check us out.  As soon as I work through my technical ineptitude and get this set up, I’ll arrange a schedule and start posting.  Stay well.
